Ham & Brie Baguettes

This is less a recipe and more a little method for instant French-cafe-at-home magic: warm bread, good butter, and a few perfect layers that melt together into something swoon-worthy.
Ingredients
- (1) still-warm baguette (homemade, or a take-and-bake loaf)
- High-quality butter
- Sliced Deli Ham
- Brie, sliced slightly thicker than 1/4"
- A few handfuls of arugula
Directions
- Split the still-warm baguette lengthwise. Spread the top half with butter (it should start melting). Spread the bottom half with Dijon.
- Layer arugula on the bottom, then pile on deli ham, and top with Brie slices.
- Close the baguette and let the residual heat soften the Brie. Slice and serve.
Peppery arugula, creamy Brie, sharp Dijon, and smoky-savory ham—simple ingredients, maximum reward.
