Ham & Brie Baguettes
This is less a recipe and more a little method for instant French-cafe-at-home magic: warm bread, good butter, and a few perfect layers that melt together into something swoon-worthy.

Ingredients

  • (1) still-warm baguette (homemade, or a take-and-bake loaf)
  • High-quality butter
  • Sliced Deli Ham
  • Brie, sliced slightly thicker than 1/4"
  • A few handfuls of arugula

Directions

  1. Split the still-warm baguette lengthwise. Spread the top half with butter (it should start melting). Spread the bottom half with Dijon.
  2. Layer arugula on the bottom, then pile on deli ham, and top with Brie slices.
  3. Close the baguette and let the residual heat soften the Brie. Slice and serve.
